New Delhi, 20 January 2019
It is a moment for celebration and joy. On the occasion of Vietnamese Lunar New Year, Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau to India extended the best wishes to all local staff of the Embassy for a happy and prosperous New Year on 17th January morning.
The new year will take its start from 5th February this year. It is named as Tet which is the occasion to express respect and remembrance for ancestors and celebrate the New Year in Vietnam. In history, Tet was crucial as it acts as a break to the agricultural year. It is an amalgamation of Christmas and New Year where families will get-together to have good meals, decorate Tet trees and eat Tet food welcoming the new year.
