Ambassador of UAE to India Ahmed Al Banna attended strategic meeting prior to arrival of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s here in India as the Chief Guest for 2017 Republic Day Celebrations, UAE and India held their First Strategic dialogue keeping with the decision to elevate the Bilateral Relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During the Strategic Dialogue they discussed about the Strategic Cooperation Agreement aimed at expanding Bilateral Cooperation to key areas including Energy, Defense and Security that will be signed during the visit of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi on 26 January 2017.
The Dialogue was co-chaired by Dr. Anwar Gargash, MOS in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE and Shri M.J. Akbar, MOS for External Affairs, the two sides discussed and agreed on number of new initiatives to further strengthen the Bilateral Relations between two countries by signing new areas of cooperation.
The two sides discussed a number of issues ranging from cooperation in the areas of Trade & Investments to expanding the Bilateral Cooperation to new areas under Strategic Partnership, inter alia in the areas of Energy Security & Renewable Energy, Defence & Security, Electronics & Information Technology and Space.
During the three day visit, Crown Prince will be accompanied by high-level delegation, including ministers, Senior Officials and Top Industry Leaders.
