New Delhi, January 17, 2017: Tunisian Ambassador to India Najmeddine Lakhal visits Rajghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s samadhi and paid tribute. He sit there for a while and showed his emotions for Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation.
Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. It was the name of a historic ghat of Old Delhi ie Shahjahanabad on the banks of Yamuna river.
It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation on 31 January 1948, a day after his assassination. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end. It is located on the Mahatma Gandhi Road of New Delhi.
