Azerbaijan to send humanitarian aid to Rohingya Muslims

Baku, Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan will send humanitarian aid to Rohingya Muslims in line with instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations told media here.The Azerbaijani government will be sending humanitarian aid to help the Rohingya people suffering from ongoing mass violence against Muslims in Myanmar.

The humanitarian aid will be delivered to Bangladesh, which temporary sheltered Rohingya Muslims, using Azerbaijani cargo airline Silk Way Airlines.

According to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev 100 tons of humanitarian aid has been sent to help Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar who are suffering at the result of ongoing mass violence.

Humanitarian aid has been transported by “Silkway” airlines to Bangladesh where Rohingya Muslims found temporary shelter. Humanitarian aid consists of daily use goods and food products.
