On Wednesday, 19 September 2018 H. E. Dr. Shaida Abdali, Ambassador of Afghanistan to India resigned from his position serving more than six years as the ambassador of Afghanistan in India.
His resignation came the same day on which the President of Afghanistan H.E. Ashraf Ghani visited India for the bilateral talks and met with the Indian Prime Minister, expecting a revitalize in the bilateral cooperation. Dr. Abdali called it a tough and appealing decision and to him, the years he served his country in India was a great honor and privilege.
Append to this, he said India gave him a home feeling and has given a great depth to his knowledge and experience. He also gave his regards to the people and the government of India for their hospitality and friendship. He remarked, during his tenure both the countries have witnessed good rising bilateral strength. He is also the non-resident Ambassador of Afghanistan to Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
He will move back to Kabul and wishes to serve his country from now in while he also wished for good friendship between India and Afghanistan.
