Faridabad, February 21, 2017.

During his visit to New Delhi, Member of Parliament Mr. Sherif Fakhry attended the closing ceremony of Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2017 in the State of Haryana, where he met with Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of the State of Haryana and Ram Bilas Sharma, Minister of Tourism of the State, and highlighted the deeply rooted cultural and tourism relations between Egypt and India as well as the means to further cooperate in several fields. Mr. Fakhry also met with the Egyptian National Folklore Troupe and the Artisans from Fostat Center for Arts and Crafts, who have represented Egypt the “Partner Nation” during the Mela this year, and lauded their brilliant performance and dedication to showcase the diversity of the Egyptian Culture in the form of dancing shows, and arts and crafts. Mr. Fakhry got the chance to meet with the Egyptian tour operators participating in the 24th annual edition of South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) in Delhi.
