Amman, April 3, 2017.
On the sidelines of the Arab Summit in Jordan, a trilateral Egyptian-Jordanian-Palestinian meeting was held between President Al Sisi, King Jordan Abdullah II and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. They discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and emphasized Egypt’s as well as Jordan’s support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, primarily their right to establish an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The three leaders underscored the importance of reviving the peace process in order to reach a comprehensive, just and final solution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, and the Arab peace initiative which will allow for a new reality in the region that shall provide security for all peoples and contribute to advancing economic and social development.
